30 days Vegan:  Week 1

30 days Vegan: Week 1

Day 1:   

Feelin' really really full actually.  Here's what I've eaten so far today (it's 2pm)

  1. Avocado Ezeikiel toast w/ lime
  2. apple & organic peanut butter
  3. Random-stuff-I-had bowl : black beans, corn, romaine, avocado, soy yogurt as sour cream sub, cucumbers, lime, apple cider vinegar & evoo  (delicious)

So I'm sitting at work super full, not like I-need-to-lay-down full, but my stomach was like alright one more bite and then I'm shutting down for a while so I was like that's cool.

Day 4: 

Here we are at day 4.   <----- That's all I wrote day 4.. clearly I did not GAF about this day. 

Day 5: 

It is 10:30 and so far so good!  I ate an apple, that's vegan right? Jk HAH. 

You know what I don't like, I don't like it when I buy a $4 coffee from Caribou and the Barista is in a terrible mood.  

I'm like, brotha.  You're the first person I'm speaking to this morning please stop being such a downer.  Anyway, he was not impressed with my request for almond milk. #sorrynotsorry

I actually had a dream that I ate a turkey sandwich "on accident".  So I'm having stress dreams that I'll somehow accidentally ingest not only dairy, but meat as well which I haven't eaten in over 2 years.  *Save for the time my mom told me there was no meat in the rice when in fact, there WAS. 

I feel really good.  

That feeling of disgust when I've eaten two bowls of mac&cheese and a grilled cheese and just random pieces of cheese is not one to be missed. 

Summary! 

Alright so I have to be honest and say that I gave myself a cheat day which I semi-regret because my body is now bloated and my throat is mucousy.   All in all, it was a good week food-wise.  I think I prefer making my own food to buying vegan versions of other food just on the basis of taste.  

There are so many benefits to cutting dairy and other animal products out of your diet and I'm excited to reap them. Now look at this goat knocking over another goat.
